Job Title: Senior Linux Device Driver Engineer


Job Role: 

We are looking for Senior Linux Device Driver Engineers to join our team. As a Senior Linux DD Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Linux device drivers, kernel modules, and firmware. You will work on a variety of projects in different domains, including multimedia, power management, display technology, and more. If you have 5 to 9 years of experience in embedded Linux and a strong background in C/C++ development, we want to hear from you. Your expertise in Linux community engagement and open source contributions will be a significant plus.

Experience Required: 5 - 9 years


Budget: 

The budget for this position ranges from 3x to 4x your years of experience, with "x" representing the number of years of experience you have. For example, a candidate with 6 years of experience can expect a CTC (Expected Cost to Company) in the range of 15 LPA to 25 LPA.


Job Description (JD):


1. **Experience**: We are looking for engineers with 5 or more years of experience in embedded Linux, driver development, and kernel programming.


2. **Skills**: Strong C/C++ development skills are essential, along with a good understanding of object-oriented design principles.


3. **Community Engagement**: Experience in dealing with the Linux community and contributing to open source projects is a significant advantage.


4. **Domain Expertise**: Familiarity with at least one of the following domains is desirable: Multimedia, Power Management, Display Technology, OpenGL.


5. **Audio Expertise**: Experience with audio sub-systems, audio drivers, frameworks, and ALSA SoC (ASoC), as well as knowledge of audio protocols like I2S.


6. **IPC and DMA**: Good working experience with IPC (Inter-Process Communication) and DMA (Direct Memory Access) driver development.


7. **Embedded Systems**: A strong background in embedded systems development is required.


8. **System Knowledge**: A deep understanding of system architecture and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.


9. **Kernel Mode Programming**: Experience with kernel mode driver programming in Linux is crucial.


10. **Linux Device Drivers**: Proficiency in Linux device driver programming in both the Linux Kernel and Drivers.


11. **Team Collaboration**: The ability to work effectively in both individual and team environments.


12. **Problem-Solving**: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills are essential, including the ability to identify and resolve issues at the kernel level.


13. **Kernel Contributions**: Involvement in kernel bug fixes and upstreaming is a plus.


14. **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
